The Secretariat currently comprises of 34 out of 56 position, including 10 hired people, 15 secondments and 12 interns, all of whom are bringing a broad diversity of skills from within sport and industry.
The BAYGOC is very thankful to the Botswana National Olympic Committee, Botswana National Sports Council, Central Transport Organisation, Ministry of Youth, Sport and Culture and the Botswana DiffenseForce for seconding people and also ANOCA, United States Olympic Committee and German Olympic Committee.

The athletes village will be at the University of Botswana in Gaborone. It has a capacity of 4000 beds and will accommodate 2500 athletes, 1000 Coaches and Team Officials and some essential Gaborone 2014 Staff. To engage representatives from each country that will be participating in Gaborone 2014. Deliver information and updates and provide an opportunity for them to see the accommodation and sporting venues and ask questions to relevant staff.
All BAYGOC staff, representatives from all 54 participating countries, all relevant stakeholders such as MYSC, Botswana Tourism, BNSC, etc. And external stakeholders such as ANOCA and USOC. Other Games such as Nanjing 2014 and Glasgow 2014 have also been invited.
• Role/participation of local media
Local media will have the opportunity to interact with participants during selected portions of the seminar.
51 countries have signed participation agreements. Only Cape Verde, Libya and South Sudan are yet to sign but we are confident that those confirmations will be received in the next two weeks.
